UPDATE: Kevin Huerter's Injury Status For Celtics-Kings Game

Kevin Huerter is on the injury report for Tuesday’s game.

UPDATE: Kevin Huerter has been ruled out for Tuesday's game.

On Tuesday evening, the Sacramento Kings are hosting the Boston Celtics in California.

For the game, they could remain without one of their best players, as former Maryland star Kevin Huerter is on the injury report.

He has missed each of the last two games, so this would be his third straight out of the lineup.

Underdog NBA: "Kevin Huerter (knee) listed questionable Tuesday."

After spending the first four seasons of his NBA career with the Atlanta Hawks, Huerter is in his first year playing for the Kings.

The 24-year-old is averaging 15.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals per contest in 66 games.

He is also shooting 48.7% from the field and 40.8% from the three-point range.

Right now, the Kings are one of the best teams in the NBA, with a 43-28 record in 71 games.

They are the third seed in the Western Conference and only one game back of the Memphis Grizzlies for second.

Over the last ten games, the Kings have gone 7-3, and they are an outstanding 21-14 in the 35 games they have hosted on their home floor in Sacramento.

As for the Celtics, they are the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 49-23 record in 72 games.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games and 23-14 in the 37 games they have played on the road outside of Boston.

Last season, the Celtics made the NBA Finals, while the Kings haven't been to the postseason since 2006.
