According to ESPN's Malika Andrews, Jamal Murray "sustained a bad floor burn" in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

On Wednesday evening, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat (on the road in Florida) by a score of 109-94 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

With the victory, they now have a 2-1 lead in the series and Game 4 will be back in Miami on Friday night.

Star point guard Jamal Murray had another excellent game, finishing the night with 34 points, ten rebounds, ten assists and one steal while shooting 12/22 from the field and 3/6 from the three-point range in 45 minutes of playing time.

According to ESPN's Malika Andrews, Murray also "sustained a bad floor burn" during the game.

Mike Singer of The Denver Post provided photos of Murray's hand at practice on Thursday.

The former Kentucky star has been one of the best players in the entire league during the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

Through the first 18 games, Murray is averaging an outstanding 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 39.6% from the three-point range.

After missing the 2021-22 season, he has been the second-best player (behind two-time MVP Nikola Jokic) on the Nuggets this year and helped them finish as the first seed in the Western Conference (with a 53-29 record).

They have defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves (eighth seed), Phoenix Suns (fourth seed) and Los Angeles Lakers (seventh seed) through the first three rounds of the Playoffs.

The teams will return to Ball Arena in Denver for Game 5 on Monday evening following Friday's game.
