On Saturday night, the Golden State Warriors are hosting the Dallas Mavericks at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

For the game, they could be without one of their best players, as five-time NBA All-Star Klay Thompson is on the injury report as questionable with an illness.

Underdog NBA: "Klay Thompson (illness) listed questionable for Saturday."

The four-time NBA Champion is in the middle of a solid season with averages of 20.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest (while shooting 39.2% from the three-point range).

Thompson missed Thursday’s 134-117 loss to the Denver Nuggets in Colorado, so this could be his second straight game out of the lineup.

The Warriors won the NBA Championship last season (for the fourth time in the previous eight seasons), but they've had a mediocre first half of the 2022-23 season.

Right now, they are 26-26 in 52 games, which has them tied for the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

The Warriors are 5-5 in their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

That said, they are an outstanding 19-6 in the 25 games they have hosted at the Chase Center.

As for the Mavs, they are tied with the Los Angeles Clippers for the fourth seed in the Western Conference.

Through 53 games, they are 28-25, and they are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak.

On the road, the Mavs have struggled, going just 9-16 in the 25 games they have played away from Dallas.
