Kristaps Porzingis' Official Injury Status For Celtics-Mavs Game
On Monday evening, the Boston Celtics will face off against Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks in Texas.
For the game, the Celtics will be without one of their best players, as 2018 NBA All-Star Kristaps Porzingis has been ruled out.
Via ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski: "Boston's Kristaps Porzingis (right knee inflammation) is out vs. Dallas tonight, team says."
Porzingis has played in 32 games and is averaging 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 blocks per contest while shooting 52.5% from the field and 35.0% from the three-point range.
The Celtics are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 33-10 record in their first 43 games.
They are 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Houston Rockets by a score of 116-107.
In 33 minutes of playing time, Porzingis had 32 points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal and five blocks while shooting 11/21 from the field and 6/11 from the three-point range.
Following Monday's matchup with the Mavs, the Celtics will travel to Florida to face off against Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat on Thursday evening.
As for the Mavs, they are 24-18 in their first 42 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Western Conference.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Los Angeles Lakers by a score of 127-110.
Following the Celtics, the Mavs will remain at home to face off against Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.
