Kyrie Irving's Official Injury Status For Mavs-Hawks Game

Kyrie Irving is on the injury report for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Dallas Mavericks will face off against Dejounte Murray and the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena in Georgia. 

For the game, the Mavs will be without one of their best players, as All-Star guard Kyrie Irving has been ruled out. 

The former Duke star also missed the team's last game, so this will be his second straight out of the lineup.  

Via ESPN's Tim MacMahon: "Kyrie Irving (right thumb sprain) has been ruled out tonight in Atlanta. Maxi Kleber (right small toe dislocation) is also out. Kleber played in the last five games after missing 33 of the previous 34.

Mavs has a back-to-back with Kings at home on Saturday."

Irving has played in 27 games and is averaging 25.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 47.2% from the field and 41.1% from the three-point range.

The Mavs are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 24-20 record in their first 44 games. 

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and are coming off a 132-109 loss to Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns (at home). 

Following the Hawks, the Mavs will return home to host De'Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings on Saturday. 

As for the Hawks, they are the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference with an 18-26 record in their first 44 games. 

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and have gone 4-6 over their last ten games.
