Lauri Markkanen's Injury Status For Pelicans-Jazz Game

On Monday evening, the Utah Jazz will host the New Orleans Pelicans in Salt Lake City.
For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as All-Star Lauri Markkanen has been ruled out.
This will be the second straight game that Markkanen is out of the lineup.

Markkanen has played in 15 games so far this season and is averaging 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 38.3% from the three-point range.
The Jazz are the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 5-11 record in their first 16 games.
They are 4-4 in the eight games they have hosted in Salt Lake City and most recently defeated the Pelicans by a score of 105-100 (also at home) on Saturday.
Following the Pelicans, the Jazz will play their next game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday evening in Tennessee.

As for the Pelicans, they are 9-8 in their first 17 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the west.
They are 5-5 over their previous ten games and 3-4 in the seven games they have played away from New Orleans.
Following the Jazz, the Pelicans will play their next game on Wednesday when they host the Philadelphia 76ers.
