LeBron James' Injury Status For Bulls-Lakers Game
On Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Chicago Bulls in California.
For the game, they have listed All-Star forward LeBron James as doubtful.
While that likely means that James will miss his 14th game in a row, it's a positive sign that he has not been listed as out.
Via Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet: "For the first time since injuring his right foot on Feb. 26, LeBron is listed as “doubtful” instead of “out” for Sunday’s game vs. Chicago. That’s a good sign he’s nearing a return."
The four-time NBA Champion had been in the middle of another fantastic season with averages of 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 6.9 assists per contest in 47 games while shooting 50.1% from the field.
He is in his 20th season in the NBA and his fifth playing for the Lakers.
At 38 years old, James is still clearly one of the ten best players in the world.
The Lakers have been able to keep themselves afloat without James in the lineup and are 7-3 in their last ten games.
They are also on a three-game winning streak and are now the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 37-37 record in 74 games.
At home, the Lakers have been good, going 21-17 in the 38 games they have hosted in Los Angeles, California.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are the tenth seed (the final guaranteed playoff spot) in the Eastern Conference with a 35-38 record in 73 games.
On the road, they have gone 15-21 in 36 games away from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
