LeBron James' Official Injury Status For Lakers-Jazz Game
On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will be in Salt Lake City for a matchup with the Utah Jazz.
For the game, the Lakers will be without their best player, as 20-time NBA All-Star LeBron James has been ruled out.
Via Dan Woike of The Los Angeles Times on Tuesday: "LeBron James says he won’t play tomorrow on the second night of a back to back in Utah."
James has played in 49 games and is averaging 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 52.0% from the field and 39.5% from the three-point range.
The Lakers are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 29-26 record in 55 games.
They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games.
In their most recent victory, the Lakers beat the Detroit Pistons by a score of 125-111.
James had 25 points, one rebound and eight assists while shooting 9/15 from the field and 3/6 from the three-point range in 31 minutes of playing time.
After the Jazz, the Lakers will play Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors on February 22 at the Chase Center.
As for the Jazz, they are the 11th seed in the Western Conference with a 26-28 record in 54 games.
They are 4-6 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
Following the Lakers, the Jazz will host the Warriors on Thursday evening in Salt Lake City.
