On Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will be in San Francisco to face off against Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center. 

However, the Lakers will be without their best player, as LeBron James has been ruled out. 

The four-time NBA Champion also missed the team's last game, so this will be his second straight out of the lineup.  

Via Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium: "Lakers' LeBron James (ankle) is listed out vs. Warriors on Thursday."

James has played in 49 games and is averaging 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 52.0% from the field and 39.5% from the three-point range. 

The Lakers are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 30-26 record in 56 games. 

They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Lakers beat the Utah Jazz by a score of 138-122. 

Anthony Davis led the team with 37 points and 15 rebounds. 

Following the Warriors, the Lakers will return home to host Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Friday evening in Los Angeles. 

As for the Warriors, they are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 27-26 record in 53 games. 

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Jazz by a score of 140-137.

Following the Lakers, the Warriors will return home to host the Charlotte Hornets on Friday evening.
