On Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will be at the Target Center to face off against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves.   

For the game, the Lakers will be without their best player, as LeBron James has been ruled out.  

Via Underdog NBA: "LeBron James (ankle) ruled out Thursday."

James has played in 26 games so far this season and is averaging 25.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 54.0% from the field and 39.2% from the three-point range.  

The Lakers are 15-13 in their first 28 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game losing streak. 

Most recently, the Lakers lost to the Bulls at the United Center by a score of 124-108. 

In 37 minutes of playing time, James had 25 points, ten rebounds, nine assists, one steal and two blocks while shooting 10/18 from the field and 1/3 from the three-point range. 

Following the Timberwolves, the Lakers will visit the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday evening

As for the Timberwolves, they are 20-6 in their first 26 games, which has them as the first seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 127-113 (on the road). 

Following the Lakers, the Timberwolves will travel to California to face off against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday.
