Luka Doncic's Injury Status For Mavs-Warriors Game
On Saturday night, the Dallas Mavericks will be in California to face off with the Golden State Warriors.
However, they will be without their best player for the contest, as All-Star Luka Doncic has been ruled out due to a heel injury.
Underdog NBA: "Luka Doncic (heel) ruled out for Saturday."
The former third-overall pick got injured in Thursday’s 111-106 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.
He is in the middle of a sensational season with averages of 33.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, 8.2 assists and 1.5 steals per contest (while shooting 50.4% from the field).
The Mavs are 28-25 in 53 games, which has them tied with Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers for the fourth seed in the Western Conference.
They are 2.0 games behind the Sacramento Kings for the third seed.
Over the last ten games, the Mavs have gone 4-6, but they are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak.
Playing on the road has been a struggle, as they are just 9-16 in the 35 games they have played away from Dallas, Texas.
Last season, Doncic led the Mavs to the Western Conference for the first time since 2011.
However, they lost in five games to the Warriors (who ended up winning the NBA Championship).
Right now, the Warriors are 26-26 in 52 games, which has them tied for the eighth seed.
They are 5-5 in their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
That said, the Warriors are 19-6 in 25 games at home.
