Luka Doncic's Official Injury Status For Mavs-Thunder Game
On Thursday evening, the Dallas Mavericks will be in Oklahoma to face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
For the game, the Mavs will be without their best player, as All-Star forward Luka Doncic has officially been ruled out.
In addition, Marc Stein of The SteinLine reported that Doncic did not travel with the team to Oklahoma City.
Via Stein: "Luka Dončić (left hamstring soreness) did not travel with the Mavericks to Oklahoma City and will not play tonight, league sources tell @TheSteinLine."
Doncic is in the middle of an outstanding season with averages of 34.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 49.4% from the field and 37.8% from the three-point range in 58 games.
The Mavs are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 38-28 record in 66 games.
They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games but are also in the middle of a four-game winning streak.
Most recently, the Mavs beat Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors by a score of 109-99, and Doncic left the game in the fourth quarter with an injury.
He finished with 21 points, three rebounds and nine assists.
Following the Thunder, the Mavs will play their next game on Sunday afternoon when they host Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in Dallas.
As for the Thunder, they are the second seed in the Western Conference with a 45-20 record in 65 games.
They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games.
