UPDATE: Malcolm Brogdon's Injury Status For Heat-Celtics Game
UPDATE: Malcolm Brogdon is available for Game 2.
On Friday night, the Boston Celtics will host the Miami Heat in Massachusetts for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Heat have a 1-0 lead in the series after winning Game 1 on Wednesday night (also in Massachusetts) by a score of 123-116.
For Friday's contest, Malcolm Brogdon is on the injury report listed as probable.
Since he is probable, the former Virginia star should end up being available.
Via Underdog NBA: "Malcolm Brogdon (forearm) listed probable for Friday."
Brogdon is in his first season with the Celtics and won the 2023 6th Man of The Year Award.
He has played in every game of the 2023 NBA Playoffs with averages of 15.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest while shooting 45.0% from the field and 43.8% from the three-point range.
The Celtics finished the regular season as the second seed in the Eastern Conference and have beaten the Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers in the first two rounds.
Last year, they made the NBA Finals for the first time since the 2010 season (and defeated the Heat in Game 7 of the Conference Finals).
While the franchise hasn't won a title since 2008, they have now been to the Conference Finals five times in the previous seven seasons.
As for the Heat, they are the eighth seed but have one of the most talented rosters in the league.
In the first two rounds, they beat the Milwaukee Bucks (who were the first seed) and the New York Knicks.
