Malcolm Brogdon's Injury Status For Lakers-Trail Blazers Game

Malcolm Brogdon has been ruled out for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Portland Trail Blazers will host the Los Angeles Lakers in Oregon.  

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as Malcolm Brogdon has been ruled out.   

Brogdon has missed each of the previous three games, so this will be his fourth straight out of action.

Brogdon has played in eight games so far this season and is averaging 17.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per contest while shooting 40.5% from the field and 34.0% from the three-point range.

The Trail Blazers are 3-8 in their first 11 games, which has them tied for the 13th seed in the Western Conference. 

They are in the middle of a five-game losing streak and most recently lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 109-95. 

Brogdon is in his first season playing for the Trail Blazers after getting traded (via the Boston Celtics) over the offseason. 

He is coming off a year where he averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 44.4% from the three-point range (he won the 2023 6th Man of The Year Award). 

As for the Lakers, they are 6-6 in their first 12 games and most recently lost to the Sacramento Kings by a score of 125-110. 

LeBron James led the team with 28 points, ten rebounds, 12 assists, four steals and one block in 35 minutes of playing time.
