UPDATE: Marcus Smart's Injury Status For Pacers-Grizzlies Game
UPDATE: Marcus Smart has been ruled out (h/t Damichael Cole of Commercial Appeal).
On Thursday evening, the Memphis Grizzlies will host the Indiana Pacers in Tennessee.
For the game, Marcus Smart is listed as doubtful on the injury report.
Smart hasn't played since November 14, but being listed as doubtful shows that a return is likely near.
Smart has played in 11 games so far this season and is averaging 12.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals per contest while shooting 42.9% from the field and 29.5% from the three-point range.
He is in his first season with Memphis after getting traded (via the Boston Celtics) over the offseason.
The Grizzlies are currently the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 7-19 record in their first 26 games.
They are 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently defeated Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans by a score of 115-113 (on the road).
All-Star point guard Ja Morant made his return to action and led the way with 34 points, six rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block while shooting 12/24 from the field in 35 minutes of playing time.
Following the Pacers, they will visit the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.
As for the Pacers, they are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 14-12 record in their first 26 games.
They are 5-5 over their last ten games and most recently defeated Terry Rozier and the Charlotte Hornets by a score of 144-113.
Following the Grizzlies, the Pacers will return home to host Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic on Saturday evening in Indianapolis, Indiana.
