The two teams split Games 1 and 2 in Memphis, and the Lakers are coming off a 111-101 victory on Saturday night at home.
Ja Morant exploded for 45 points, nine rebounds and 13 assists, but the Grizzlies got off to such a poor start to the game that they were unable to recover.
This is the second straight season that the Grizzlies finished as the second seed in the Western Conference.
However, they are one of the worst road teams in the league, going just 16-26 in the 42 games they have played away from Memphis, Tennessee.
As for the Lakers, they are the seventh seed and have been solid at home, going 24-18 in 42 games hosted in Los Angeles, California.
The winner of the series will advance to the second round to face off with either the Sacramento Kings or Los Angeles Lakers.
