On Sunday evening, the Miami Heat will face off against the Magic in Orlando, Florida.

They will remain without star rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr., who has been ruled out for his fourth straight game.

Before the game, head coach Erik Spoelstra revealed that Jaquez Jr. would remain out indefinitely.

Via Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald: "Erik Spoelstra said Jaime Jaquez Jr. is progressing well in his recovery from a groin injury, but did not have a timetable for his return."

Jaquez Jr. was the 18th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of UCLA and is off to an excellent start to his rookie year.

The 22-year-old is averaging 14.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 51.3% from the field and 35.3% from the three-point range in 39 games.

The Heat are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 24-18 record in their first 42 games.

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Most recently, the Heat lost to Dejounte Murray and the Atlanta Hawks (at home) by a score of 109-108.

Following Sunday's showdown with Orlando, they will return home to host the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday evening in Miami.

On the road, the Heat are 12-10 in 22 games, while they are 12-8 in 20 games at home.

The Heat are coming off a year where they made the NBA Finals for the second time in the previous four seasons.
