New York Knicks Star Injured In Loss To Sacramento Kings On Thursday
After missing the last two games due to a foot injury, New York Knicks star guard Jalen Brunson returned on Thursday night against the Sacramento Kings.
Recording 19 points, two rebounds and two assists in the first half, the Knicks trailed the Kings 69-53 at halftime and Brunson did not return due to left foot soreness.
NY_KnicksPR: “Jalen Brunson (sore left foot) will not return to tonight’s game.”
This is the same injury that held Brunson out the previous two games for the Knicks and now with 14 games left in the season, this is definitely a cause for concern in New York.
Brunson has been having an All-Star-level season for the Knicks and is a huge reason why they have found so much success lately.
In a total of 62 games, including Thursday night’s game in Sacramento, Jalen Brunson has averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 48.7 percent from the floor and 41.4 percent from three-point range.
Following this loss to the Kings, the Knicks now find themselves 39-29 and on a two-game losing skid after winning their previous nine games. They are currently three games back of the 4-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers and one game ahead of the 6-seeded Brooklyn Nets.
The Knicks will be back in action on Saturday night when they continue their west coast road trip against the Los Angeles Clippers. Further updates on Jalen Brunson’s injury will be given over the next 24 hours by New York.
