FINAL UPDATE: Nikola Jokic's Current Injury Status For Warriors-Nuggets Game
FINAL UPDATE: Nikola Jokic has been ruled out.
On Sunday night, the Denver Nuggets are hosting the Golden State Warriors in Colorado.
For the game, they could be without their best player, as two-time MVP Nikola Jokic is on the injury report listed as questionable.
He has missed each of the last two games, so this could be his third straight out of the lineup.
Underdog NBA: "Nikola Jokic (calf) listed questionable for Sunday."
Jokic is currently averaging an outstanding 24.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 9.9 assists and 1.2 steals per contest in 67 games.
He is also shooting 63.4% from the field and 39.0% from the three-point range.
There is an excellent chance that Jokic could end up winning his third MVP Award in a row.
In addition to his stellar play, the Nuggets have been the best team in the Western Conference, with a 51-26 record in 77 games.
They are 5-5 in their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
That said, the Nuggets are an incredible 32-7 in the 39 games they have hosted on their home floor in Colorado.
Last season, the team dealt with injuries and finished as the sixth seed, but they lost to the Warriors in the first round of the NBA Playoffs (in five games).
Right now, the Warriors are the fifth seed in the west with a 41-37 record in 78 games.
They are on a two-game winning streak but just 9-29 in the 38 games they have played on the road away from the Chase Center.
