Phoenix Suns Reportedly Make $70 Million Decision Before NBA Playoffs
Grayson Allen is in his first season playing for the Suns and has been an excellent addition to the roster.
The former Duke superstar finished the regular season with averages of 13.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest while shooting 49.9% from the field and 46.1% from the three-point range in 75 games.
On Monday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Allen has agreed to a contract extension with the Suns.
Via Wojnarowski: "Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen has agreed on a four-year $70 million contract extension with a player option, Mitch Nathan, Aaron Mintz and Steven Heumann of @CAA_Basketball tell ESPN."
Allen was initially the 21st pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and has also spent time with the Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz.
His career averages are 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest while shooting 45.2% from the field and 41.2% from the three-point range in 339 regular season games.
He has also appeared in 24 NBA playoff games (10 starts).
As for the Suns, they are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 49-33 record.
They finished the year in the middle of a three-game winning streak and are also 7-3 over their ten games.
The Suns will now face off against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
Last season, they beat the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round but lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second round.
