Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's Injury Status For Friday's Game

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been ruled out for Friday's game between the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder.

On Friday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder are hosting the Utah Jazz in Oklahoma.

For the game, they will be without their best player, as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been ruled out.

The former Kentucky star has missed each of the last four games, so this will be his fifth straight out of the lineup.

Underdog NBA: "Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (health protocols, abdominal) listed out for Friday."

Gilgeous-Alexander is in the middle of a fantastic season and made his first career All-Star Game last month.

He is averaging 31.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest in 54 games (while shooting 50.7% from the field).

The Thunder come into the night with a 28-34 record in 62 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the Western Conference.

They are 3-7 in their last ten games and in the middle of a five-game losing streak.

That said, the Thunder are a solid 17-15 in the 32 games they have hosted at home in Oklahoma.

Right now, they are only 2.5 games out of the final two play-in tournament spots.

As for the Jazz, they are 31-32 in 63 games, which has them tied with the New Orleans Pelicans for the ninth seed.

They are 4-6 in their last ten games and 11-19 in the 30 games they have played on the road away from Salt Lake City.

Last season, the Jazz lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, while the Thunder missed the postseason.
