UPDATE: Jalen Brunson is not on the injury report for Game 3.

On Saturday afternoon, the New York Knicks will be in Florida to face off with the Miami Heat for Game 3 of their second-round playoff series.

The two teams are tied up at 1-1 after they split Games 1 and 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

For Game 2, star point guard Jalen Brunson was on the injury report listed as questionable due to an ankle injury but ended up playing.

The former Villanova star had 30 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 39 minutes of playing time.

He also shot 10/19 from the field and 6/10 from the three-point range.

On Thursday, head coach Tom Thibodeau spoke about Brunson's latest status.

Thibodeau said: "Jalen didn't do much today" (at practice) and is "day-to-day."

Despite Brunson playing so well in Game 2, he is clearly still dealing with an ankle injury based on what Thibodeau said.

The 26-year-old is in his first year with the Knicks after spending four seasons with the Dallas Mavericks.

He has had the best year of his career and averaged an excellent 24.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists per contest while shooting 49.1% from the field and 41.6% from the three-point range during the regular season.

In the first round, the Knicks beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games, which was their first time winning a playoff series since the 2013 season (when they still had Carmelo Anthony on the roster).

Whoever wins the series will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
