BREAKING: Steph Curry's Final Status For Jazz-Warriors Game

On Sunday afternoon, the Golden State Warriors will host the Utah Jazz at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

For the game, the Warriors will be without their best player, as two-time MVP Steph Curry has been ruled out.

Via Anthony Slater of The Athletic: "Steph Curry's ankle is fine after the tweak the other night. Warriors resting him today, but Steve Kerr said he could've played, if needed. Gary Payton II's calf tightness puts his status more in doubt: "We'll see over the next couple days on his availability for the play-in.""

Curry had another excellent season with averages of 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists per contest while shooting 45.0% from the field and 40.8% from the three-point range in 74 games.

The Warriors are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 45-36 record in 81 games.

They have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the New Orleans Pelicans by a score of 114-109.

Curry had 33 points, four rebounds, five assists and one steal while shooting 12/23 from the field and 7/13 from the three-point range in 32 minutes of playing time.

The Warriors are coming off a season where they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the NBA playoffs.

As for the Jazz, they are the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 31-50 record in 71 games.

They have gone 2-8 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
