On Thursday evening, the Indiana Pacers will be in California to face off against the Sacramento Kings.

For the game, All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton has been ruled out.

The former Iowa State star has missed each of the previous four games, so this will be his fifth straight out of the lineup.

Via Marc J. Spears of ESPN's Andscape: "Pacers coach Rick Carlisle says Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) won’t return to action against the Kings tonight. Carlisle added he wasn’t certain when newcomer Pascal Siakam will debut but he will join the franchise on the road trip."

Haliburton has been one of the best players in the NBA this season and is likely on his way to making his second straight All-Star Game.

Over 33 games, he has averaged 23.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 12.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 49.7% from the field and 40.3% from the three-point range.

The Pacers are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 23-17 record in their first 40 games.

They are 7-3 over their last ten games but are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Following the Kings, the Pacers will visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday evening in Oregon.

As for the Kings, they are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 23-17 record in their first 40 games.

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and are 5-5 over their last ten games.

Following the Pacers, the Kings will host the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.
