UPDATE: Tyrese Haliburton will play, according to Tony East.

On Thursday evening, the Indiana Pacers are hosting the Los Angeles Lakers in Indianapolis.

Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton has missed the last ten games, and he is on the injury report as questionable (but the 22-year-old is expected to make his return on Thursday).

Via Underdog NBA: "Carlisle: Tyrese Haliburton (knee, elbow) on track to play Thursday."

The Pacers had been one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference to start the season, but have gone cold since Haliburton went down.

They are just 1-9 in their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game losing streak.

Right now, the Pacers are tied with the Chicago Bulls for the tenth seed in the east.

They are 24-28 in 52 games, but have gone 16-10 in the 26 games they have hosted at home in Indianapolis.

Haliburton has played like an All-Star this season, and is averaging 20.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 10.2 assists and 1.8 steals per contest.

In addition, he is shooting 48.0% from the field and 39.9% from the three-point range.

As for the Lakers, they are also 24-28, which has them as the 13th seed in the Western Conference.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games and 11-16 in the 27 they have played on the road.

In November, the Pacers beat the Lakers (on the road in Los Angeles) 116-115.

Haliburton had an outstanding 24 points, seven rebounds and 14 assists in the victory.

Last season, both the Lakers and the Pacers missed the NBA Playoffs.
