Tyrese Maxey's Injury Status For 76ers-Nets Game
On Tuesday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers will be in New York to face off against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.
For the game, the 76ers will be without one of their best players, as All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey has been ruled out.
Via John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia: "Tyrese Maxey is out tonight for the Sixers and he is being evaluated for a concussion from getting hit in the head Sunday in Dallas"
Maxey is averaging 26.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 44.9% from the field and 37.8% from the three-point range in 55 games.
The 76ers are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-25 record in 60 games.
They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and have gone 5-5 over their last ten games.
Most recently, the 76ers defeated the Dallas Mavericks by a score of 120-116.
In 39 minutes of playing time, Maxey had 24 points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals while shooting 8/15 from the field and 1/5 from the three-point range.
Following the Nets, the 76ers will host the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday evening.
As for the Nets, they are the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 24-37 record in 61 games.
They are 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Grizzlies by a score of 106-102.
Following the 76ers, the Nets will visit the Detroit Pistons on Thursday evening in Michigan.
