UPDATE: Zion Williamson is available.

On Friday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will be in Charlotte to face off against the Hornets.

For the game, they could be without one of their best players, as Zion Williamson is on the injury report.

The former Duke star missed the team's last game, so this would be his second straight out of the lineup (if he doesn't play).

Williamson has played in 20 games so far this season and is averaging 22.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 58.4% from the field.

The Pelicans are 14-11 in their first 25 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference.

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game winning streak.

Most recently, the Pelicans defeated the Washington Wizards (on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.) by a score of 142-122.

Following the Hornets, they will play their next game on Sunday afternoon when they visit the San Antonio Spurs in Texas.

As for the Hornets, they are 7-15 in their first 22 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Most recently, the Hornets lost to the Miami Heat (in Florida) by a score of 115-104.
