FINAL UPDATE: Zion Williamson has been ruled out.

On Friday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will host the Oklahoma City Thunder in Louisiana.     

For the game, the Pelicans could be without one of their best players, as 2021 NBA All-Star Zion Williamson has been added to the injury report.   

Via The New Orleans Pelicans: "Zion Williamson (left foot bone contusion) is QUESTIONABLE for tonight’s game vs. Oklahoma City"

Williamson has played in 36 games and is averaging 21.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest while shooting 58.9% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range. 

The Pelicans are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 26-18 record in their first 44 games. 

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Utah Jazz by a score of 153-124. 

In 27 minutes of playing time, Williamson had 17 points, three rebounds and 11 assists while shooting 8/12 from the field. 

Following the Thunder, the Pelicans will travel to Wisconsin to face off against Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday. 

As for the Thunder, they are off to an incredible start to the season and have a 31-13 record in their first 44 games, which has them as the second seed in the Western Conference. 

They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and are 8-2 over their last ten games.

Most recently, the Thunder beat the San Antonio Spurs by a score of 140-114. 

Following the Pelicans, they will face off against the Pistons on Sunday in Detroit.
