The 2021-22 NBA season kicks off on Oct. 19, with a game between the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks in Milwaukee, Wis., and a West Coast game later that night between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors in Los Angeles.

With the season coming up, here are some of the best player-edition shoes for this upcoming season. 

1.) D'Angelo Russell, Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves' star point guard has player edition shoes with Li-Ning Way of Wade. This season he had his first-ever player edition shoes sell to the public. 

2.) Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young is with Adidas and his first-ever player edition basketball shoe came out to the public in September. When the Cotton Candy colored ones first came out, they sold out on the same day. 

3.) Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks

Dallas Mavericks All-Star point guard Luka Doncic is with Nike's Air Jordan brand.

4.) LaMelo Ball, Charlotte Hornets

The 2021 Rookie of The Year is with Puma. When he was younger he had shoes with his father LaVar Ball's Big Baller brand. 

These four young stars all have super cool shoes that they will be wearing this season. Here's when you'll see them first in game action:

  • Russell and the Timberwolves will play their first game of the season on Oct. 20, and host the Houston Rockets. 
  • Young and the Hawks will play their first game of the regular season on Oct. 21, and host Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. 
  • Ball and the Hornets will play their first regular season game on Oct. 20, and host the Indiana Pacers.
