4-Year NBA Veteran Reportedly Signs With Shanghai Sharks

Dwayne Bacon was initially the 40th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Florida State.
Bacon most recently played in the NBA during the 2020-21 season when he was a member of the Orlando Magic.
That year, he averaged 10.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 40.2% from the field and 28.5% from the three-point range in career-high 72 regular season games.
According to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando, Bacon is now signing a deal with the Shanghai Sharks (h/t Hoops Rumors).

Bacon played four seasons in the NBA for the Charlotte Hornets and Orlando Magic.
His career averages are 7.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 40.2% from the field and 31.4% from the three-point range in 207 regular season games.

The 28-year-old has spent the past few seasons playing overseas and most recently played for Panathinaikos.
In 16 League games, he averaged 13.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 43.5% from the field and 26.4% from the three-point range.
He also played in 27 Tournament games and averaged 16.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest while shooting 38.6% from the field and 29.7% from the three-point range.

Since Bacon is still in the prime of his career (and played well for the Magic in 2021), he could be a name to watch over the next few seasons.
A strong season in the CBA could lead to him getting another chance in the NBA.
