James Harden Posts Intriguing Instagram Story Amid Trade Rumors
James Harden has been in the news as of late due to his decision to opt into the final year of his contract and his reported trade request from the Philadelphia 76ers.
The ten-time NBA All-Star is 33 years old, but he is still among the best players in the league and is coming off a season where he averaged 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 10.7 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 44.1% from the field and 38.5% from the three-point range in 58 games.
On Thursday, Harden made a cryptic post to his Instagram story, which is getting attention from fans across social media.
Harden via his Instagram story: "Been comfortable for so long. It's time to get uncomfortable."
It's unclear what his story means, but any kind of message like that during trade rumors will get NBA fans' attention.
Recently, Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports reported that "Harden still intends to play for the Clippers during the 2023-24 season."
While Harden has put up big numbers, the 76ers have lost in the second round of the NBA playoffs in both of his seasons with the franchise.
In addition to the 76ers, the 2018 MVP has played for the Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder.
His career averages are 24.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 44.2% from the field and 36.3% from the three-point range in 1,000 regular season games.
Despite never winning a title, Harden has appeared in an astonishing 160 NBA playoff games.
