9-Year NBA Veteran Makes Bold Statement About Jordan Poole
Jordan Poole is in his first season with the Washington Wizards, but the team has gotten off to a slow start, and Poole has struggled.
On Monday, the Wizards defeated the Detroit Pistons by a score of 126-107, which snapped a nine-game losing streak.
Poole played 25 minutes and had ten points, three assists and one steal while shooting 3/9 from the field.
During the game, Poole's mistake went viral, and he had his shot blocked out of bounds by Ausar Thompson.
On Tuesday, nine-year NBA veteran Chandler Parsons (on FanDuel's Run It Back) made a bold statement about Poole when discussing the viral blooper (h/t ClutchPoints).
Parsons: "This is Jordan Poole in a nutshell, he's young, he's immature and he's arrogant. All three of those things is this play and that's why he's had some personality issues. The kid can hoop; he belongs in the NBA, but this is the stuff he does that annoys a coaching staff, that annoys his teammates and this is the frustrating stuff."
Poole is averaging 17.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 39.7% from the field and 28.0% from the three-point range in 16 games.
With the victory over the Pistons, the Wizards improved to 3-14 in their first 17 games, which has them as the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are 1-9 over their previous ten games and will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they visit the Orlando Magic in Florida.
