Andrew Wiggins' Status For Pelicans-Warriors Game
On Friday night, the Golden State Warriors are hosting the New Orleans Pelicans at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
For the game, they will remain without 2022 NBA All-Star Andrew Wiggins, who has been ruled out due to personal reasons.
Wiggins has missed each of the last six games, so this will be his seventh straight game out of the lineup.
The former Kansas star is in the middle of another very productive season with averages of 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals per contest in 37 games.
He is also shooting 47.3% from the field and 39.6% from the three-point range.
Right now, the Warriors are the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 33-30 record in 63 games.
They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and are 6-4 in their last ten games.
The Warriors are also an excellent team on their floor, going 26-7 in the 33 games they have hosted at the Chase Center (they are just 7-23 on the road).
As for the Pelicans, they are 31-32 in 63 games, which has them tied with the Utah Jazz for the ninth seed in the west.
Over the last ten games, they are 5-5, and they have struggled on the road.
In the 32 games the Pelicans have played outside of New Orleans, they are 11-21.
Last year, the Warriors won their fourth NBA Championship in eight seasons, while the Pelicans lost to the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs.
