Andrew Wiggins' Status For Warriors-Hawks Game
On Friday night, the Golden State Warriors will be in Georgia to face off with the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena.
For the game, they will remain without one of their best players, as Andrew Wiggins has been ruled out due to personal reasons.
The former Kansas star has missed each of the last 13 games, so this will be his 14th straight game out of the lineup.
Before the extended absence away from the team, Wiggins had been in the middle of another very productive season.
He's currently averaging 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals per contest in 37 games.
The 2022 NBA All-Star is also shooting a tremendous 47.3% from the field and 39.6% from the three-point range.
Last season, Wiggins was a big reason for the Warriors winning their fourth NBA Championship in the previous eight seasons.
Right now, they are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 36-34 record in 70 games.
They are 6-4 in their last ten games but just 7-27 in the 34 games they have played on the road away from the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
As for the Hawks, they are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 34-35 record in 69 games.
They are 5-5 in their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
At home, the Hawks have been solid, going 18-15 in the 33 games they have hosted at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
