Anthony Davis Dunked On Victor Wembanyama In Lakers-Spurs Game
On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are in Texas, facing off against the San Antonio Spurs.
During the game, Anthony Davis had a big dunk on Victor Wembanyama.
Keldon Johnson and Wembanyama surrounded Davis, but he was able to drive to the basket and finish off the huge slam dunk at the rim.
Wembanyama is averaging 2.8 blocks per contest, so he has been among the top rim protectors in the league.
Davis came into the evening with averages of 23.3 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.1 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.7 blocks per contest while shooting 54.3% from the field and 26.7% from the three-point range in 23 games.
The Lakers are 14-10 in their first 24 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Western Conference.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games, and most recently lost to the Dallas Mavericks by a score of 127-125.
In 37 minutes of playing time, Davis had 37 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks while shooting 15/21 from the field and 1/2 from the three-point range.
Davis has been on a roll as of late and went into halftime with 24 points, three rebounds, one steal and one block while shooting 10/15 from the field and 2/3 from the three-point range in 18 minutes of playing time.
As for the Spurs, they are 3-19 in their first 22 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Western Conference.
Following Wednesday's game, the Lakers and Spurs will face off again (in San Antonio) on Friday evening.
