Anthony Davis' Current Injury Status For Warriors-Lakers Game

UPDATE: Anthony Davis has been ruled out (h/t Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report and the NBA on TNT).

On Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will host Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors.

For the game, the Lakers could be without one of their best players, as 2020 NBA Champion Anthony Davis is on the injury report.

Via ClutchPoints on Monday: "LeBron James (flu-like symptoms) and Anthony Davis (left eye soreness) are both QUESTIONABLE for tomorrow's game against the Warriors, the Lakers announced."

Davis has had another excellent season with averages of 24.5 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.4 blocks per contest while shooting 55.4% from the field and 28.0% from the three-point range in 74 games.

The Lakers are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 45-34 record in 79 games.

They have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves (at home) by a score of 127-117.

Davis left the game early with an injury and finished with four points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals while shooting 2/6 from the field in 12 minutes of playing time.

Following the Warriors, the Lakers will visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday evening.

As for Golden State, they are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 43-35 record in 78 games.

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Utah Jazz by a score of 118-110.

Following Los Angeles, the Warriors will play their next game on Thursday evening when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon.
