On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers were in Tennessee for Game 2 of their first-round playoff series with the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Lakers lost 103-93, so the series is now tied at 1-1, and Game 3 will be played on Saturday night in Los Angeles, California.

During Wednesday's game, Anthony Davis made NBA history by moving into the top 100 on the NBA's all-time playoff blocks list.

Davis came into the night with 78 career playoff blocks, which ranked 108th on the list.

He finished the game with 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists and five blocks.

Therefore, the eight-time All-Star is now tied with P.J. Brown, Bill Walton and Bill Laimbeer for 98th on the list with 83 career playoff blocks.

Davis is in his 11th season in the NBA (his fourth with the Lakers) and is one of the best big men of all time.

This season, the former Kentucky star averaged a sensational 25.9 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest while shooting 56.3% from the field.

The Lakers are coming off a season where they went 33-49 and missed the playoffs, but Davis helped lead them to the NBA Championship in 2020.

This year, they finished the regular season with a 43-39 record, which has them as the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

Despite the disappointing loss on Wednesday, the Lakers are still headed home for Games 3 and 4 with the series tied.

They are a very solid 23-18 in the 41 games they have hosted on their home floor.
