On Thursday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves are hosting the Dallas Mavericks at the Target Center. 

During the first half, Anthony Edwards made a fantastic shot that got a lot of attention on social media.  

Via The NBA: "Handles, physicality, footwork. Ant Edwards showed a little of everything on this TOUGH bucket 😤"

Edwards came into the night with averages of 25.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 45.3% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range in 26 games.  

The Timberwolves are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 22-7 record in their first 29 games. 

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 129-106.  

In 34 minutes of playing time, Edwards had 25 points, seven rebounds, six assists and one steal while shooting 7/16 from the field and 2/5 from the three-point range. 

Following the Mavs, the Timberwolves will play their next game on Saturday evening when they host LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers at the Target Center. 

Edwards was the first pick in the 2020 NBA Draft out of Georgia and is in his fourth season in the league (all with the Timberwolves).  

He has helped lead the franchise to the NBA playoffs in each of the previous two seasons. 

His career averages are 22.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 44.2% from the field and 35.4% from the three-point range.
