Atlanta Hawks And OKC Thunder Officially Complete Trade

The NBA offseason began on June 30, and many moves have already been made around the league.
Typically deals are reported before they become official, so trades and signings are starting to be announced.
On Wednesday, the Atlanta Hawks officially completed a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Via The Hawks: "We have acquired guard Patty Mills from the Oklahoma City Thunder, in exchange for guard TyTy Washington Jr., forwards Usman Garuba and Rudy Gay, and a future second-round pick."

Mills is an NBA Champion who has spent the previous two seasons playing for the Brooklyn Nets.
This past year, the veteran point guard averaged 6.2 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 41.1% from the field and 36.6% from the three-point range in 40 regular season games.
He has already been traded three times during the 2023 offseason.

As for Washington Jr. and Garuba, they were acquired in a trade with the Houston Rockets earlier this month.
In addition, Rudy Gay was originally sent to the Hawks in a deal that landed the Utah Jazz with forward John Collins.
Therefore, none of the players involved in the trade played for either the Hawks or Thunder during the 2022-23 season.
