Dejounte Murray finished up his first season with the Atlanta Hawks averaging an impressive 20.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 46.4% from the field in 74 games.

With the 2023 NBA Draft taking place on Thursday evening, there have been many trade rumors around the league.

Some of those rumors have included the Hawks, who appear willing to move off some of their key players (according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports).

Via Fischer's article on Yahoo! Sports: "The Hawks continued to be described as one of the more active teams in trade dialogue around the NBA. Hunter, John Collins and All-Star guard Dejounte Murray, in addition to starting center Clint Capela, continue to be mentioned by team personnel as viable trade candidates, with Hunter appearing to be involved in most of the Hawks’ possibilities entering draft night."

Several hours before the Draft, Murray made an Instagram post featuring many photos of a recent workout.

However, the caption was cryptic.

Murray wrote: "Never Get Comfortable… 🙅🏽‍♂️ Anything Can Happen!!!! #DM5🖤"

The Hawks finished the regular season with a 41-41 record and defeated the Miami Heat in the play-in tournament to make the Playoffs.

They ended up losing to the Boston Celtics in the first round (in six games).

As for Murray, he is going into his eighth season in the NBA, and before the Hawks, he spent six seasons with the San Antonio Spurs (in 2022, he made the All-Star Game).
