Wallace initially went undrafted in 2021 and has spent the previous two seasons in the G League.
Last year, he averaged 14.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.8 steals per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field and 41.1% from the three-point range in 30 regular season games (he also appeared in 19 Showcase Cup games).
Meanwhile, Joiner went undrafted this summer after playing his final year of college with NC State.
He averaged 17.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 42.8% from the field and 35.4% from the three-point range in 34 games.
Both Joiner and Wallace will now likely play in the G League for the College Park Skyhawks.
Via Lauren L. Williams of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: "Not huge surprise here but the Hawks have waived Jarkel Joiner and Keaton Wallace. Both guys were on Exhibit 10 deals. They’ll likely head to the Skyhawks."
As for the Hawks, they are coming off a year where they were the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 41-41 record (they beat the Miami Heat in the play-in tournament).
Following the Heat, the Hawks lost to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
