Austin Reaves' Brutally Honest Statement After Lakers-76ers Game

Austin Reaves spoke to reporters after the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Philadelphia 76ers.

On Monday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers were in Philadelphia facing off against the 76ers. 

The Lakers lost the first quarter by 13 points and were never able to recover, losing the game by a score of 138-94. 

Following the tough loss, Austin Reaves met with the media and shared a brutally honest statement (h/t Spectrum SportsNet).

Reaves: "They made a lot of threes, we didn't and they beat the s**t out of us."

Reaves finished his night with 12 points, two rebounds and two assists while shooting 4/10 from the field and 1/4 from the three-point range in 29 minutes of playing time. 

With the loss, the Lakers dropped to 10-8 in their first 18 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 7-3 over their previous ten games and 3-6 in the nine games they have played on the road away from Los Angeles. 

Following the 76ers, the Lakers will now head to Michigan to face off against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday evening.  

As for the 76ers, they improved to 12-5 in their first 17 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. 

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and 7-3 in the ten games they have played on their home floor. 

Tyrese Maxey led the team with 31 points, three rebounds, eight assists and one steal while shooting 9/20 from the field and 5/12 from the three-point range in 36 minutes of playing time.
