Boston Celtics Make Roster Move Before NBA Playoffs
Neemias Queta is in his first season playing for the Boston Celtics.
The former Utah State star is averaging 4.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 61.4% from the field in 26 games.
He had been on a two-way contract, but the Celtics have now announced (on Monday) that they have signed the 24-year-old for the remainder of the NBA season.

Queta will now be eligible to play in the 2024 NBA playoffs.
He is in his third season in the NBA, and prior to Boston, Queta had spent two seasons playing for the Sacramento Kings.
His career averages are 3.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 56.9% from the field in 46 regular season games.
As for the Celtics, they have had a fantastic season and are the best team in the NBA with a 62-16 record in 78 games.
They have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a five-game winning streak.
Most recently, the Celtics beat the Portland Trail Blazers (at home) by a score of 124-107.
Following Portland, they will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they visit Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks in Wisconsin.
The Celtics have made the Eastern Conference Finals five times over the previous seven seasons (and reached the NBA Finals in 2022).
However, they have been unable to win an NBA Championship since the 2008 season.
