Bradley Beal's First Tweet After Getting Traded To The Phoenix Suns

Bradley Beal sent out a tweet after getting traded from the Washington Wizards to the Phoenix Suns.

On Saturday, the Phoenix Suns officially announced their blockbuster trade with the Washington Wizards that landed them three-time NBA All-Star Bradley Beal.

Beal had spent his entire 11-year career with the franchise and was the team's best player.

Therefore, the deal marks a new era for the Wizards, as they will now enter into a rebuilding mode.

On Monday, Beal sent out his first tweet after the trade and shared a letter he wrote for The Players' Tribune

Beal captioned his tweet: "Dear DC,

THANK YOU đź’™"

Beal was the third pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Florida and helped the Wizards make the NBA Playoffs five times.

In that span, they made the second round of the Playoffs three times, but the franchise has missed the postseason for two straight years.

This past season, Beal played in 50 games and had averages of 23.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest while shooting 50.6% from the field and 36.5% from the three-point range.

The Wizards were the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference and had a 35-47 record.

As for the Suns, they have been one of the best teams in the NBA over the last three seasons.

In 2021, they made the NBA Finals, and in each of the last two seasons, they got to the second round.

During the season, the Suns acquired 2014 MVP Kevin Durant in a deal with the Brooklyn Nets.

They have one of the most talented cores in the league with Deandre Ayton, Devin Booker, Durant and Beal.
