BREAKING: 2x All-Star Reportedly Signs With New NBA Team
Isaiah Thomas most recently played in the NBA during the 2021-22 season when he appeared in 22 games for the Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets and Dallas Mavericks.
That year, the two-time NBA All-Star averaged 8.4 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest while shooting 40.1% from the field and 33.7% from the three-point range.
On Saturday evening, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that Thomas will sign a 10-day contract with the Phoenix Suns.
Via Charania: "IT is back: 11-year vet and two-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas is planning to sign a 10-day contract with the Phoenix Suns, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Thomas averaged 33 points on 45 percent 3-point shooting for Salt Lake City in the NBA G League, scoring 30 in four games."
Thomas had recently signed with the Salt Lake City Stars (the G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz) and scored 30+ points in all four games with the team.
The former Washington star was the 60th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft and has played 11 seasons in the league for the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks.
He also played 46 games for the Suns during the 2014-15 season.
As for the Suns, they are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 39-28 record in 67 games.
They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games and will play the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday afternoon in Wisconsin.
