Knight joined the Celtics on a two-way contract in October but never appeared in an NBA game with the team.
Joe Mazzulla pre-game: "I got to know him when he was around a little bit. He did what we asked him to do ... looking for an opportunity to find something different, get better, look at different options."

The 26-year-old has played three seasons in the NBA for the Atlanta Hawks and Minnesota Timberwolves.
His career averages are 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 47.6% from the field and 26.5% from the three-point range in 108 regular season games.
He has also appeared in eight NBA playoff games and was with the Hawks when they reached the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021.
Now that Knight will become a free agent, he will be a name to watch, as another team could sign him.
