BREAKING: Charlotte Hornets Reportedly Sign 6-Year NBA Veteran

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Charlotte Hornets will sign Frank Ntilikina.

Frank Ntilikina is coming off a season where he averaged 2.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 36.4% from the field and 25.4% from the three-point range in 47 games for the Dallas Mavericks.

This summer, the former eighth-overall pick became a free agent, and ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports (on Friday) that he will sign a deal with the Charlotte Hornets.

Via Wojnarowski: "Free agent guard Frank Ntilikina has agreed on a one-year deal with the Charlotte Hornets, Sam Rose of CAA Sports and Olivier Mazet of Maz Sports tell ESPN. Ntilikina played 47 games for Dallas last season. The deal is partially guaranteed."

Ntilikina was initially drafted by the New York Knicks in 2017 and spent the first four seasons of his career with the franchise.

His career averages are 4.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest while shooting 37.1% from the field and 32.3% from the three-point range in 316 regular season games (he has also appeared in 15 NBA playoff games).

Considering Ntilikina was a recent top-ten pick (and is only 25 years old), he could be a good addition to the Hornets.

The Hornets are coming off a season where they were the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 27-55 record.

They have a talented roster featuring LaMelo Ball and (2023 second-overall pick) Brandon Miller, but they dealt with injuries last year.

The franchise last made the NBA playoffs in 2016, so they have missed the postseason for seven straight seasons.
