BREAKING: Golden State Warriors Reportedly Make Massive Starting Lineup Change
On Sunday evening, the Golden State Warriors will face off against the Houston Rockets in Texas.
Draymond Green, who has missed each of the team's first two games, is available.
According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the Warriors will bring Chris Paul off the bench (and start Green).
Via Anthony Slater of The Athletic: "Chris Paul will come off the bench tonight for the Warriors in Houston, per sources. It’ll be his first time as a reserve in his 19-year career. Started previous 1,365 games (regular season/playoffs). Draymond Green is starting in his return."
The Warriors have gone 1-1 in their first two games of the season and are coming off a 122-114 victory over the Sacramento Kings.
Steph Curry was sensational, putting up 41 points, four rebounds and four assists.
As for Green, he is coming off a solid year where he averaged 8.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 52.7% from the field and 30.5% from the three-point range in 73 regular season games.
Following the Rockets, the Warriors will travel to Louisiana to face off against Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night.
As for the Rockets, they have gone 0-2 to start the season and are coming off a 126-122 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
Last season, they were the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 22-60 record and missed the NBA playoffs for the third straight season.
Following the Warriors, they will host the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.
