UPDATE: Steve Kerr said that Klay Thompson will continue to come off the bench going forward (h/t Anthony Slater of The Athletic).

On Thursday evening, the Golden State Warriors will face off against the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City.

For the game, the Warriors have announced their starting lineup.

Five-time NBA All-Star Klay Thompson will come off the bench, which is a significant change to the team's typical starting unit.

Via Anthony Slater of The Athletic: "Brandin Podziemski is starting in Klay Thompson’s place tonight in Utah. Thompson not currently listed on injury report, so appears to be coming off the bench. The lineup: Steph Curry, Podziemski, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Draymond Green."

Underdog NBA added more details.

Via Underdog NBA: "This will be the first time since Klay Thompson's rookie season back in March 2012 that he'll come off the bench."

Thompson has played in 49 games and is averaging 17.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest while shooting 41.5% from the field and 36.8% from the three-point range.

Meanwhile, Podziemski is averaging 9.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per contest while shooting 46.5% from the field and 38.3% from the three-point range in 46 games.

The Warriors are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 26-26 record in 52 games.

They had been in the middle of a five-game winning streak before losing to James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers by a score of 130-125 on Wednesday evening at home.

Following the Jazz, the Warriors will play their next game on February 22 when they host the Los Angeles Lakers at the Chase Center.
