BREAKING: Golden State Warriors Reportedly Sign 4-Year NBA Player
UPDATE: The Golden State Warriors have officially signed Javonte Green and Yuri Collins.
UPDATE: The Golden State Warriors have officially announced that Kendric Davis, Javan Johnson and Donovan Williams have been waived.
The Golden State Warriors began training camp earlier this month, and have now played three preseason games.
They have gone 3-0, and are coming off a 121-115 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday evening.
On Monday afternoon, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports that the team has made several roster moves.
Via Slater: "The Warriors have waived Donovan Williams, Javan Johnson and Kendric Davis, per sources. They are signing Javonte Green and Yuri Collins today. All five are expected to land in Santa Cruz to open the G-League season in the organizational pipeline."
Green is coming off a season where he appeared in 32 games for the Chicago Bulls and had averages of 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 56.5% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range.
The 30-year-old has played four seasons in the NBA for the Boston Celtics (and Bulls).
His career averages are 5.1 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 53.4% from the field and 34.2% from the three-point range in 186 regular season games (he has also appeared in six NBA playoff games).
Meanwhile, Collins went undrafted this past summer after playing four seasons of college basketball for Saint Louis.
During his senior year, he averaged 11.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 10.1 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 44.2% from the field and 31.9% from the three-point range in 32 games.
The Warriors will play two more preseason games before they host the Phoenix Suns on October 24 for their first regular season game of the year.
